Grellow Gloves

I got two braids of Falkland roving recently, hand-dyed gray and yellow by the folks at Pico Accuardi.  It seemed pretty soft, so I thought I might make some fingerless gloves out of them.  If you know anything about me, you probably know that I generally don't go into things like this with much of a plan, so I really set myself up for failure.  Good thing the fiber was too forgiving.

The fiber, to the left, was spun into singles.  I tried to keep the long colorways in the singles, and to make sure the colors stayed together, I Navajo plied the yarn.

And look, I even ended up with what I intended!  They still feel super soft, and the colors somehow matched up almost identically.  I still don't know how that happened.  For more information about the pattern and the process, check out my pattern page on Ravelry.
